“I felt invisible and unappreciated” exclaimed one of the victims “but now my business stands out and attracts real customers”.

It’s no joke. 1000’s of entrepreneurs and small businesses are simply stuck in obscurity. They are often good people who work hard but for them business is not easy.

The default brand simply means that a business looks and feels just like any other business in that industry. It is hard to tell apart. As David often recounts in his speeches “have you ever noticed how often plumbers are just like other plumbers, or how realtors are often just like other realtors and how most airlines are just like other airlines?”

The more similar we become to the other businesses that do what we do the more invisible we become. Which makes us that much harder for customers to choose us.
